Exempts up to $180,671 of assessed home value from property taxes for 100% service-connected disabled veterans.

Disabled Veterans' Property Tax Exemption (Low-Income)

Exempts up to $271,009 of assessed home value for qualifying low-income disabled veterans. Household income must be at or below $81,131.

Veterans' Exemption (Basic)

$4,000 exemption on assessed value of property for all qualifying veterans.

Eligibility: Honorably discharged veterans who are California residents. Cannot claim if receiving Homeowners' Exemption. Source

College Fee Waiver - Plan B

Rating: Any rating (parent veteran)

Waives mandatory system-wide tuition and fees at CA Community Colleges, CSU, and UC campuses. Student income cannot exceed $22,273 (2025-2026 academic year).

Eligibility: Children/dependents of veterans with any level of service-connected disability. Income-restricted. Source

College Fee Waiver - Plan C

Rating: 100% or deceased (parent)

Waives mandatory system-wide tuition and fees for children of deceased or totally disabled veterans of the California National Guard.
